Supermarkets - there are a couple of smaller supermarkets and one large one, providing everything you’ll need for a self catered holiday, or just for stocking up on holiday supplies.

Bourg D'Oisans is the ideal base for your Cycling Holiday

Tourist information - should you wish to try something other than cycling, or have partners / family who want to keep busy whilst you are out on your bike, the tourist information centre for the area is on the main road through town.  Also see the Other Activities page for an idea of what you can do.

Doctors - unfortunately accidents occasionally happen, so when they do it’s good to know that there is a modern doctors surgery in town that can patch up all sorts of bike related injuries (I should know!).

Saturday market - if you happen to be here on Saturday morning be sure to check out the market - there is plenty of local food and products for sale, with stalls all along the two main streets in town.

As well as being at the foot of Alpe D’Huez and the junction of the six valleys of Oisans, Bourg D’Oisans has a number of resources to make it an ideal location for a cycling holiday:

Bike Shops - there are three bike shops in Bourg D’Oisans, meaning that even if you have forgotten an essential piece of biking kit or need spares / repairs then there is plenty of choice.  Alternatively you can buy a cycling souvenir like an Alpe D’Huez jersey!
